Welcome BIS Alumni

In May 2007, the BIS program graduated its first student from our partnership with Tidewater Community College. In just nine short years, the BIS Program has established its place at U.Va. and has gained recognition as one of Virginia's premiere part-time undergraduate degree programs.

Our students and alumni are an integral part of that success. Fifteen of our 49  recent graduates were honored with "Distinction",  four with "High Distinction" and ten with "Highest Distinction" at the Commencement Ceremonies in May 2009.  BIS students continue to be inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Many of our BIS alumni continue their education by entering graduate school. Others transition into new careers or advance in their existing professions. We wish all our alumni continued success.
