Children's Literature in the Classroom

Course Description: This course focuses on the study of how teachers can use children's literature in the classroom setting. It includes a study of the various genres of literature, selecting quality literature for students at various reading levels within the classroom, and using children's literature in all areas of learning. Emphasis will be placed on the use of literature to successfully teach the Virginia Standards of Learning.
