Field Natural History

Course Description: Field Natural History is a graduate course designed to introduce students to the interesting and unique plants, animals, fungi, and microorganisms that live in the Piedmont of Virginia. Through lecture, lab, and field based activities, students will develop an understanding and ability to decipher structural, numerical, temporal, and ecological patterns found in nature. Development of teaching activities will be an integral part of class and field activities.
