Strategic Human Resource Management (Web Course)

Course Description: This key course integrates the Human Resource program and prepares students for a more responsible position. The focus of this course is an overall viewpoint from the perspective of top management. In addition, the course highlights specialized business functions. This course examines how human resources can formulate and implement unified, comprehensive and integrated decisions to attain organizational goals and effectiveness in partnership with top management. It illustrates the philosophy, policies, programs and trends for effective human resource management. This course assists students in understanding the business connections between corporate strategy and the human resource functions. It also provides a strategic framework for understanding leadership and the complexities and uncertainties most organizational leader's face.

Prerequisites: HR 401 required for students in certificate prog.
