Current Topics in Human Resources

Course Description: This course is designed to explore the recent trends and most relevant issues in human resources. It is critical that HR professionals understand the current thinking of key organizational leaders and academic experts in order to strategically plan for the human resource needs of the organizations of the future. This course examines how the role of human resources is quickly evolving in the "knowledge age" due to rapid changes in technology, organizational structures, requirements and the workplace. Students will be encouraged to learn from the best practices in HR, to develop practical and innovative solutions to current HR concerns, and define future options for contributing to their organizations’ effectiveness.
