HR 502 Staffing and Career Management
Course Description: Students examine the processes and techniques that establish and govern the flow of interrelated organizational staffing activities. Staffing is critical to all organizations' mission and objectives and ultimately to the overall success of the enterprise. The course content includes case studies covering the latest staffing models and systems, economic conditions that impact staffing, laws and regulations, strategy and planning, measurement, job analysis, internal and external recruiting, and decision-making. It also leads participants through career management processes and techniques such as self-assessment, job search, and career/life planning which can be applied personally to career advancement, and/or organizationally to such issues as turnover and retention.
