IT 334W Fundamentals of E-Business and Web Marketing (Web Course)
Course Description: Web content professionals play a critical role in establishing a company's brand on the Internet. This capstone course gives students an overview of how business is conducted online with a review of e-commerce terminology and standard industry practices. Concentration is given to sharpening Web marketing skills and developing strategies to reach your intended audience. Guest lecturers share "live" case studies and relay their real world experiences in class. This course culminates with a Web site and portfolio presentation for review by the instructor, industry professionals, and fellow students. Students are also required to apply case studies and course content toward the production of a marketing plan for their client as part of the certificate portfolio. This course will be conducted completely online. Just as in face-to-face classes, however, there will still be lectures, exercises, case studies, and class discussions.
