Server-Side Web Application Development with JAVA

Course Description: This course integrates techniques for building server-side applications for dynamic, data driven Web sites. Topics include handling HTTP request information, generating HTTP response data, Java Servlets, JavaServer pages, the Struts framework, the JSTL, data access objects, Java Beans, and emerging technologies such as Java Server Faces. Borland's JBuilder IDE will be used to develop applications along with a Java-enabled RDBMS such as mySQL, and BEA's WebLogic Applications server.

Prerequisites: IT 501 or equivalent knowledge
