IT 503 Enterprise Computing with Java Course Description: This course covers the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) specification for developing multi-tier distributed enterprise applications. Topics include the following: J2EE API's (Application Programming Interface) and specifications: Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI), the Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) specifications, the Java Transaction API, the Java Message Service (JMS) and the Java security specification. Students will use BEA's WebLogic application server, Borland's JBuilder IDE, and a Java-enabled RDBMS such as mySQL to build enterprise applications.
