MATH 663 AAO Introductory College Algebra and Trigonometry
Course Description: In this course participants will examine relationships among quantities, including functions, explore ways of representing mathematical relationships, and analyze change. Topics examined will include investigations to deepen understanding of elementary algebra and functions by extending them to include nonlinear systems of equations and inequalities (linear programming); complex numbers; arithmetic and geometric series; logarithmic, exponential, and step functions; trigonometric functions; composite and inverse functions; conics; and recognition and application of trigonometric identities. This course is designed to cover content outlined in the VA regulations for the Algebra Add-On Endorsement.
Prerequisites: MATH 662
