Public Relations Writing

Course Description: Public relations is the art of managing external communication to build, manage, and sustain a desired image. This course provides an introduction to the elements of public relations writing and will address questions of audience, organization, development, and style. Participants will be introduced to writing for different media: broadcast and print media, including news releases; media advisories; pitch letters; public service announcements; brochure planning and writing; and feature article writing. This participatory and informal course is designed to give students an introduction to the elements of public relations writing. The instructor will address questions of audience, organization, development, and style.
