NCBM 018A Writing and Editing in the Workplace
Course Description: Do you panic when your supervisor asks you to write a report? Do you procrastinate for weeks when someone contacts you for a letter of recommendation? Do you have trouble starting and/or stopping the writing process? Using a five-step writing process and tips on content, verb usage, and positive wording, this workshop will cover the correct way to compose a report, letter, memo, and press release and how to edit and revise for ultimate clarity and effect. Participants should bring a non-confidential document they are currently working on to use for in-class exercises.
