Legal Aspects of the Nonprofit Organization

Course Description: Increasingly, the government sector is holding nonprofit organizations more accountable in their governance and management. Once a nonprofit organization is established, its officers and directors can become personally liable for ensuring the organization complies with various state and federal laws and regulations governing nonprofit operations. This workshop will familiarize participants with various on-going obligations to regulators at both the federal and state level.
