Employment Law for Nonprofits

Course Description: This is an overview workshop which will introduce participants to federal and state laws that establish employee rights and employer responsibilities. Definitions of employee, independent contractor, as well as the concept of at will employment will be examined. This workshop is taught toward the perspective of the nonprofit employer; therefore, employer responsibilities, both to and for employees, will be discussed.
