Thinking Lean: The New Diet for Operational Effectiveness

Course Description: Lean operations are those that have identified and eliminated non-value-added activities. Through discovery exercises, participants in this workshop will learn concepts and principles for sustainable organizational transformation. Participants will develop a new way of thinking, speaking and seeing concepts such as identifying waste, workplace organization, and continuous improvement are cultivated. A case study will explore the application and understanding of such lean tools and techniques as Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, Kaizen, and Takt time. You will leave this workshop with the tools to connect lean principles to your own organization by identifying current conditions, exploring the ideal state and understanding the process to make lean effective.

Prerequisites: Attendees include for-profit and non-profit leadership, directors, executives, senior managers, engineers, and functional and/or project managers.
