Introduction to French Language

Course Description: Learn the basic elements of conversational French language in this introductory course that addresses fundamental vocabulary and the foundations of grammar. The objective is to develop basic oral expression, listening comprehension, and elementary reading and writing. Presentation of the fundamentals will be followed by practice exercises and role-play in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Topics include words that are similar in French and English, different ways to address someone in French, numbers, weather, time, the calendar, clothing, colors, personal pronouns, basic verbs, the question form, the family, places in France, transportation, sports and leisure, food, and more.
