Fiction Writing Workshop

Course Description: We will read stories by past and contemporary masters and by each other with the goal of sharpening our abilities as readers, writers and editors. We will learn to generate stories and to effectively critique and revise our own work, from first draft through finished story. Class time will consist of writing exercises, brief lectures on style and technique, workshops and dynamic discussion. Reading materials will be made available through U.Va.’s Instructional Toolkit. Internet access required.
