| NCPD 015 Entrepreneurship: Turning Your Idea Into a Business Course Description: Turning your dream idea into a viable business enterprise is challenging, but also very rewarding. This course will provide the entrepreneur with a structured approach to move from dream to successful reality. This entails building a comprehensive plan for managing the business enterprise and securing financial investment. Through lecture and extensive open discussion, we will explore the key components that make up a sound business plan including marketing and sales strategies, forecasting and financial planning, staffing, facilities, and asset infusion plans. We will also look at forms of business structure, business start-up in Virginia, and sources of capital. You will leave the course with a draft business plan. Prerequisites:
