Jefferson and Monticello

Course Description: Join us for a nine-week exploration of Thomas Jefferson’s life, work and hobbies, including the broad interests and extraordinary activities that have made him an enduring American legend. We will journey into his life, his politics, his family, his plantation, his free and enslaved mountaintop community, as well as his world-famous home. A highlight of the course will be a special spring evening on the mountaintop, which will include a unique after-hours tour of Monticello (including rooms not normally open to the public) and a reception on the North Terrace.
