Introduction to Project Management

Course Description: Introduction to Project Management introduces students to the various aspects of the project life cycle. Students will be exposed to the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge, other industry project life cycles, and variety of project management best practices. The course will show how these best practices can be applied to increase the probability of project success. A variety of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques used by project managers and project teams to successfully execute projects will be explored, discussed, and practiced. At the completion of this course students will have an understanding of the project life cycle, exposed to project management best practices, and possess a project management toolbox that they can use to successfully manage projects.
