Project Risk Management

Course Description: The Project Risk Management course will introduce students to various concepts and techniques that can be used to effectively manage project risk. The course will expose students to the various risks (cost, schedule, technical, quality, managerial, organizational, etc.) projects confront as they move through the project life-cycle. Students will learn a variety of risk identification and management techniques (qualitative and quantitative) in order to minimize their impact on project performance. These various risk identification and management techniques will be explored, discussed, and practiced during class. At the conclusion of the course students will have an understanding of the various risk confronting a project and will possess the ability to apply various risk management techniques to reduce their impact on the overall project.
