Construction Project Management

Course Description: This course will provide students with the fundamentals of project management in construction. Subjects will include contracting, inspections, cost code system, insurance estimating, subcontracting and documentation. At the completion of this course students will be able to: More fully understand the principles of project management as they relate to the actual day-to-day issues that project managers may confront in the construction industry, identify and improve non-engineering skills necessary for successful construction management, and understand the basics of construction contracts, estimating and scheduling.
