| PHYS 601 Physical Science for Elementary School Teachers Course Description: This course will teach and review for elementary school teachers basic concepts in the physical sciences. The knowledge base thus acquired or refreshed will then be used to help the teachers develop better science lessons for their elementary school pupils. It brings together the basic concepts from the physical sciences: physics, chemistry, earth and space science. The basic concepts will be presented with an emphasis on the teachers becoming better able to actually use them in the science instruction of their pupils. Prerequisites:
