| PHYS 620F Magnetism Course Description: The basic concepts of magnetism will be investigated including the effects of permanent magnets on materials, the force of magnets on each other, the magnetic force on moving charges, and how electromagnets work. The relationship between electricity and magnetism will be investigated. Many teacher activities will be performed. Several lecture demonstrations will be utilized to better understand the concepts of magnetism. Letter grades are assigned for this class. Prerequisites:
