Heat and Conservation of Energy

Course Description: What is the difference between heat and temperature? What is energy and how can it be changed from one form to another? The basic concepts of heat and energy will be investigated including conduction and convection, changes of state, and potential and kinetic energy. Teachers will perform hands-on activities in cooperative learning groups. Videos and lecture demonstrations will be utilized to better understand the concepts of heat and energy. Letter grades are assigned for this class.
