Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering

(Available at multiple sites around Virginia)

The Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering allows  students to attain additional knowledge in advanced areas of electrical and computer engineering. It is designed for engineers currently in practice who feel the need to become knowledgeable in the latest areas of electrical and computer engineering. While individuals pursuing this degree have normally majored in electrical engineering at the undergraduate level, persons with degrees in other fields of engineering, applied science, and physics are encouraged to apply.

The program requires 30 credit hours (10 courses) of graduate-level coursework that can be completed on a part-time basis.  Courses in the program are taught live in Charlottesville and are transmitted simultaneously to multiple locations around Virginia.  Courses may be taken for graduate credit, or for non-degree continuing education.  To be used for graduate credit towards the master’s degree, application  for admission to the program must be made prior to enrollment.

This program is offered through the University’s Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP) , which has served engineers and scientists through distance education since 1983.  Please visit their web site for complete program information, including course descriptions and schedules.
