Master of Engineering in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
(Available at multiple sites around Virginia)
The Master of Engineering in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is intended for individuals with a bachelor’s degree (in most cases,
in engineering) looking to strengthen and extend their undergraduate training and competence. The program requires 30 credit hours (10 courses) which can be completed on a part-time basis by taking 1 or more courses a semester.
Courses in the program are taught live in Charlottesville and are transmitted simultaneously to multiple locations around Virginia. Courses may be taken for graduate credit, or for non-degree continuing education. To be used for graduate credit towards the master’s degree, application for admission to the program must be made prior to enrollment.
This program is offered through the University’s Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP) , which has served engineers and scientists through distance education since 1983. Please visit their web site for complete program information, including course descriptions and schedules.
