I have credits from another institution that I would like to transfer to this program.  How do I know if they will transfer?  Credits from another institution are not transferable to this master’s degree.  Students are permitted to take two U.Va. physics courses from the list of approved 600-level courses before applying to the program. After being accepted, students may transfer the credit and apply it to the master’s degree. The opportunity to take two physics courses without final commitment is intended to help students decide whether this program is appropriate for them.
 
Can I enroll in just a few courses?  I’m not interested in earning the master’s degree.   Yes, you may enroll in courses for professional development credit.  We also offer additional courses for professional development.
