University and
State organizations who purchase or broker and rebill services for
non-University and non-State organizations will be billed at
Non-Sate rates.

Uplink and
downlink charges will include all test periods.

Downlink rates do
not include recording tape, which will be billed at prevailing
rates.

Rates do not
include travel and set-up time, travel expenses for out-or-town
services, use of conference facilities, and other special
requirements and services. Costs of these items will be added to
total charges or billed separately by other providers.

The University of
Virginia will not be liable for technical failures and other
conditions beyond it's control, such as weather attenuation and sun
outages. In any event liability will not exceed charges.

Service cannot be
provided to non-University or non-State organizations where the same
service is readily available in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area
from a private or commercial firm except in extenuating
circumstances. For example, it would be appropriate to provide tape
editing for a news network as part of a satellite uplink since there
is no commercial transmit earth station with associated services in
the area and close timing would normally preclude splitting the
service between different organizations.

**Overtime
charges are for services provided outside normal operation billing
hours. Normal operation billing hours are from 7AM to 7PM Monday
through Friday and do NOT include UVA holidays. Holidays will be
billed at the overtime rates.
