Certificate in Public Administration Offered Online

The Certificate in Public Administration provides the essential knowledge and skills needed to meet the administrative and management challenges of today’s public sector and nonprofit organizations. The 12-credit (4 courses) graduate certificate is ideal for employees working in public or nonprofit organizations and looking to enhance their career opportunities. It is also ideal for career changers interested in entering the public or nonprofit sector, and for in-service and pre-career students interested in beginning a career in public service. All four courses in the certificate are offered online, making them accessible from anywhere.

Certificate Available in Adolescent Literacy

Successfully teaching reading and writing for the older student requires an understanding and appreciation of adolescent learners. Engagement, motivation, and interest are a critical part of adolescent learning. The Certificate in Adolescent Literacy is designed for teachers of upper elementary, middle and high school students. Six graduate-level courses, for a total of 16 credits, must be completed to earn the certificate. Courses will be offered on an on-going basis through the SCPS regional centers.
