Instructions for Using SIS Class Search

The Student Information System (SIS) includes a robust class search feature to find classes each term (semester). Please use SIS Class Search for the most up-to-date and complete listing of classes offered through SCPS each semester. 

To help you get started, review these instructions. 

To search for courses in SIS, you must select the term (semester) and at least two additional search criteria.

To search for all classes offered fully/completely online by SCPS during a specific term:

  • Select appropriate Term
  • Select Campus: SCPS
  • Select Mode of Instruction (under Additional Search Criteria): Web Based

To search for all graduate classes offered by SCPS during a specific term:

  • Select appropriate Term 
  • Select Campus: SCPS
  • Select Course Career: Graduate

To search for all undergraduate classes (non-BIS classes) offered by SCPS during a specific term:

  • Select appropriate Term
  • Select Campus: SCPS
  • Select Course Career: Undergraduate

To search for all classes in the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies during a specific term:

  • Select appropriate Term
  • Select  Campus: Main
  • Select Course/Number: (enter course subject area: ISBU, ISCP, ISCS, ISHU,  ISLS,  ISPS, ISSS, ISIN;  course number not needed)
  • Select Course Career: Undergraduate

To search for all classes offered in a specific certificate or course series during a specific term:

  • Select appropriate Term
  • Select Campus: SCPS
  • Select Course Subject: (example:  PSPA, PSPM, ACCT, NCBM, etc.)

To search for all noncredit classes offered by SCPS during a specific term:

  • Select appropriate Term 
  • Select Campus: SCPS
  • Select Course Career: Non-Credit

To  search for all classes offered by a specific UVA/SCPS Academic Center during a specific term:

  • Select appropriate Term 
  • Select Campus: SCPS
  • Select Location: (example: SCPS Northern Virginia Center)

If you are planning to register as a Community Scholar (please review permissions/restrictions) you can search for on-Grounds classes:

  • Select appropriate Term
  • Select Campus: Main
  • Select Course Subject
  • Select Course Career:  Graduate or Undergraduate

From your class search, classes offered are listed by course subject and number (e.g., ACCT 3120), and include time, instructor, enrollment status, and more. Click on the blue class link under the course subject and number for more information about the course.
