Chief John Bouthillette is a distinguished law enforcement professional with a comprehensive 39-year career characterized by exceptional leadership, extensive training expertise, and a profound commitment to officer safety and community engagement. Throughout his distinguished career, he has developed productive partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, establishing himself as a respected subject matter expert in critical areas of law enforcement.
As a Deputy Director at the Institute for Intergovernmental Research's Center for Law Enforcement Safety and Wellness, Chief Bouthillette oversees multiple critical training and technical assistance programs for the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance. He is also a graduate in the 236th Session of the FBI National Academy.
