A Gallup-Purdue survey measures support experienced by UVA students
The University of Virginia administered the Gallup-Purdue Survey in 2015. Students who graduated in 2001-2015 were contacted to participate in a web-based survey to measure the emotional support they experienced while attending UVA. BIS graduates were among those who were surveyed and responded.
Here's what we learned from our BIS graduates:
85% of those who responded said that professors made them excited about learning.
58% said that they felt that faculty cared about them as a person.
42% replied that mentors encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams.
