Gary Brooks DBA, CPA

Dr. Gary Brooks’ career includes accounting and finance work with leading defense contractors and over 13 years of active-duty service in the military. Primarily, his work for the last 25 years has been in support of the intelligence community. His focus has been on the federal budget process to include budget reporting and execution.  He has been teaching the last twelve years with the last six years teaching full time. 

Originally from Ohio, Gary has earned an associate degree, bachelor's degree, two master's degrees (MBA and MPA), and a doctorate (DBA). Gary holds the following certifications: Virginia Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Certified Internal Auditor (CIA); Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP); Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM); Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA); and Certified Defense Financial Manager with Acquisition Specialty (CDFM-A).
