Dr. Nicole Runyon has been teaching online since 1998. She loves helping adult learners find ways to achieve their goals and broaden their perspectives. Her primary area of focus involves human resources and organizational development.

Beyond teaching, Dr. Runyon worked on board Great Lakes freighters as a Deck Officer, as a Human Resources Director for a startup dot com in the '90s, and as a Human Resources and Branch Operations Director for a horticultural distributor.

Academically, Dr. Runyon has an AAS in Maritime Science, a BA in Political Science, a MS in Administration and a PhD in Education. She holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. Dr. Runyon lives in Northern Michigan with her husband, children, and Boston terrier.
