On June 9, the Post-Bac Pre-Med Program welcomed its 12th cohort with 35 students, the largest group in the program’s history.
On their first day of Orientation, students met with PBPM faculty, staff, and alumni. They also visited the UVA Hospital to receive their ID badges, and completed a tour of Grounds. The day ended with a BBQ dinner. The next day, students woke early to complete team-building exercises at the Poplar Ridge Challenge Course.
The first class in the program, Chemistry 1410 lecture and lab, began on Monday, June 12. The cohort will complete Chemistry 1420 lecture and lab before the summer concludes.
