
Michelle D. McAllister
Detective Michelle McAllister has over 19 years of law enforcement experience. She received a college degree in Criminal Justice. Detective McAllister began her law enforcement career as a patrol officer with the Prince William County Police Department for five years, then became a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, serving in the Property Crimes Unit. Shortly after, she was transferred to the Special Victims Unit. During this time, she was a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for four and a half years. Detective McAllister later went to the Special Investigations Bureau and served on the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force for five years. During her time as a member of the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force, she served as a task force officer with the FBI, CR7 division, the DEA, New York Field Office, and the ATF. She has extensive investigative experience working in an undercover capacity and federal firearms and narcotics investigations.
Detective McAllister is one of the founding members of the Prince William County Police Department’s Women’s Mentorship Program and serves as a member of the Physical Fitness Advisor Team. Currently, Detective McAllister is assigned to the Personnel Bureau as a background investigator. Detective McAllister is a three-time recipient of the Valor Awards, a two-time recipient of the County Executive’s Awards, Gang Investigator of the Year (2022), and numerous agency recognitions for her investigative work. Detective McAllister also has received Congressional recognition, meritorious action, and Public Service Awards from the U.S. Attorney’s Office – Eastern District of Virginia for her federal undercover and prosecutorial work. Detective McAllister has four children and is in a long-term relationship with her best friend and boyfriend, Michael Ramirez. They share a passion for running, teaching, and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
