Annual Course Schedule - Certified Financial Planning

The certificate requires 7 courses which can be completed in 18 months by enrolling in 1 or 2 classes per term. Classes are typically scheduled as follows. Please note that SCPS may cancel, modify, or make substitutions as deemed necessary in any given semester, which may affect the length of time to complete the certificate.  

Fall Term
NCPR 500 Personal Financial Planning 
NCPR 504 Retirement Planning

Spring Term
NCPR 500 Personal Financial Planning
NCPR 503 Income Tax Planning
NCPR 505 Estate Planning

Summer Term
NCPR 500 Personal Financial Planning
NCPR 501 Insurance Planning
NCPR 502 Investment Planning

NCPR 506 Capstone: Financial Planning is taken after completion of the first six courses. The Capstone course is offered based on student demand as coursework is completed, but is generally planned for the fall term.
