On Sunday, May 17, 2026, graduates from UVA’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies walked the historic University Lawn to recognize the completion of their degrees amongst over 8,000 newly minted UVA alumni. Read about awards and honors given, and how scholarships fueled student success.

Bachelor of Professional Studies in Health Sciences Management student, Maureen Leahey, has been named this year’s UPCEA Outstanding Professional, Continuing, And/Or Online Education Student, recognizing her demonstrated resilience and pursuit of excellence.

Built for early- and mid-career professionals, the Certified Public Manager certificate program at UVA helps public sector leaders develop the skills they need to solve real-world problems and grow professionally.
