Alan Zucker
With more than 25 years of experience leading complex initiatives and project management organizations in Fortune 100 companies and the federal sector, Alan Zucker is now the Founding Principal of Project Management Essentials and a nationally recognized instructor, speaker and consultant in project management, leadership and Agile practices.
Since founding Project Management Essentials in 2016, Alan has helped organizations improve project execution through training, consulting and thought leadership. He has delivered professional development programs for organizations across the United States, including federal agencies, financial services firms and professional associations. His teaching focuses on practical approaches that help project managers lead teams, manage risk and deliver successful outcomes.
A frequent keynote speaker and industry thought leader, Alan has authored more than 150 articles on project management, Agile and leadership. His work regularly appears on his website and LinkedIn, and he is often quoted in industry press and invited as a guest on project management podcasts.
Alan holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland and a master’s certificate in IT Project Management from The George Washington University, where he also earned his undergraduate degree. He holds multiple professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP®), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP®), Disciplined Agile Coach (DAC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) and Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC).
