Ann Marie Plunkett
Ann Marie Plunkett has been a faculty member in the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Program since 1999, teaching courses in Nationalism and National Identity, the Great War, the Second World War, Exploring the Social Sciences-Understanding Migration, and Capstone I and Capstone II; she has also mentored many Capstone students on a wide range of topics. Plunkett holds a B.A. degree in history from Brown University and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in history from the University of Viriginia. Her research has focused on 19th century Irish politics and nationalism, and she has presented papers at national conferences for the American Conference for Irish Studies and at University College Cork for the Society for the Study of 19 Century Ireland. She serves as a reviewer of scholarly books on Ireland and 20th century Europe for Choice, a publication for academic libraries.
